FAQs

Fees

The cost of attending a 50 minute session is £120. I am able to offer some lower fee sessions for those who need them. Fees may be slightly different if your sessions are covered by an insurance company or employee assistance programme (EAP).

What does a first session look like?

The aim of the initial session is for us to get to know each other and for me to learn what you hope to gain from therapy. I am happy to arrange a telephone call before our initial consultation.

How long does each therapy session last?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Occasionally, an extended 80 minute session may be recommended (e.g. EMDR processing work).

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the issue bringing you to therapy and the type of approach we are using. Generally, I recommend a minimum of six sessions and then a review. Cognitive Analytic Therapy usually takes place over 16 or 24 sessions. I will be able to provide a better idea following your initial session.

How often should I attend?

Weekly sessions are usually recommended and, when possible, the same time will be reserved for you each week.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, I am predominantly working online via Whereby, or other secure platforms depending on your preference. I have been working online for some time now and have found it to be a really effective way of working.

How do I pay for sessions?

Fees are payable by BACS on the day of the session. Sessions not attended, or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged at the full fee.

I am also registered with a range of health insurance companies, including AXA and BUPA.
